Lodha Machine is the leading manufacturer of the injectable dry powder filling with rubber stoppering machine. This high-speed machine is entirely mechanically operating, featuring a self-picking roller-based rubber stoppering system. The filling process uses a vacuum and air pressure-based powder wheel, allowing for manual adjustment of the fill weight. Designed for round glass vials, this machine can reach speeds of 120 or 250 vials per minute. The LI-PVF model is constructed with a stainless-steel finish, including the frame, and adheres to cGMP standards. This automatic vial filling machine has high accuracy and quality in dry powder filling, making it easy to operate and minimizing powder wastage while handling a high volume of vials per hour.
The machine is available in various combinations of filling heads and powder wheels to achieve higher speeds or larger fill volumes as required by the customer. All parts that come into contact with the container, powder, and rubber stopper, or that are exposed to the atmosphere, are made of stainless steel SS316. This makes sure durability and compliance with stringent quality standards. The machine’s capability and quality make it an essential tool for any pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, offering valid and efficient performance with minimal downtime and maintenance.
The process begins with sterilized powder stored in the powder hopper, which is agitated by mechanical agitators to maintain a consistent and uniform bulk density. The powder wheel, featuring eight ports, rotates at a predetermined speed below the powder hopper with minimal clearance. Each port contains a piston, and a vacuum plate is situated behind the powder wheel, making sure no clearance due to back spring pressure. During the vacuum process, a perfect volume of powder is sucked into the port of the powder wheel, with different fill sizes achievable based on piston length. Excess powder is removed by a doctor blade, which can be adjusted externally without removing the powder hopper.
As the powder wheel rotates, the powder remains in the port due to the vacuum until it is directly above the container. Compressed air or nitrogen gas is then used to flush the powder from the port into the container one by one. Filled containers are immediately separated on the conveyor by a vial separator and moved to the stoppering station. Here, sterilized and siliconized rubber stoppers stored in a vibratory bowl are vertically stacked and fed into the stopper chute. The containers are held securely between timing belts, picking up the rubber stopper from the chute's exit end. This entire process has perfect and efficient filling and stoppering, with minimal waste and high accuracy, making the machine indispensable for pharmaceutical production.
